Day 2.... Second training session - Torn Medial Ligament.

So this morning i went to beginner - intermediate MMA. Being a Friday they always have a grappling comp which i was pumped for. My first opponent was about 10kg heavier than me. We started the bout standing and he managed to get the take down easily which i was pissed with myself about. I spent the next minute or so escaping to various positions only to have him right back on top of me again and again. Finally i was able to get my guard back. He had 2 hands on the mat and was just begging me to kimura him, so i obliged him. I had it tight and was just cranking it on and when he dynamically straightened the leg that i was hooking to stop him rolling over the top and escaping. That is when i felt a terrible pain in my right knee.... I immediately let go of the kimura as i rolled around in pain i've already had this pain in the same knee twice before and I new exactly what i had done within about 10 seconds.
So ice, elevation and compression, hopefully its not that bad and ill be fine for Monday... However throughout the day it got worse to the point that i can barely walk. I dont know weather to laugh or cry at my misfortune :(

One thing is clear though, i will be on a plane on my way back home sometime next week ending my 32 day training camp a month early. I'll go back to work, wait till it heals properly and then rebook to come back and get what i wanted and expected out of my trip.

On a positive note i did a little shopping and i now have myself a brand new taser that looks exactly like a Nokia N91! So if i can manage to get it through customs know you will be "shocked" to see me when i return Oh and Mum if your reading this, i decided not to get the knuckle dusters and these cool spinning knives and also an awesome 3 blade ninja star!

I also had a fish foot bath, which is exactly as it sounds. You put you feet in a tank of little sucking fish. They must like the skin or some thing cause their are literally 100's all suckling on your foot, between your toes etc. A very weird feeling and actually quite refreshing.

Now im just sitting im my room feeling sorry for myself with special muscle relaxants and pain killers that i got from the pharmacist. helping me deal with things oh and the best thing... no scripts required. ROFL
